About The Event
By special request! (if you have a particular interest, get in touch and I'll custom theme a salon for you too!) My April salon edits will be a general exploration of the wonderful world of loose leaf tea and mindful brewing. So this is perfect for both those new to tea and those enjoying tea but looking to get more sensory enjoyment from it by taking a mindful approach to brewing tea.
We'll explore and discuss a few different teas over the course of the evening that will showcase different families of tea (such as green, black etc) as well as experiencing how a mindful approach to brewing and serving tea can enhance the experience, both of preparing and drinking this wonderful beverage.
I'll also of course be performing a Japanese Tea Ceremony temae so we can have a mindful and meditative interlude during the evening. The theme will be seasonal, so here's hoping for a spring evening!
We'll enjoy a sweet with the Tea Ceremony and round off the evening with a simple bowl of chazuke (please let me know when booking if you are vegan/vegetarian or have a sesame allergy).
You're invited to bring something (a question, problem, tea etc) to discuss and engage in lively conversation like in the Parisienne Salon's of old.
NOTE: if you can't make it for 6pm, it's not a problem. We'll drink tea and chat while we wait for you.
Please graciously respect my private home. We have two gorgeous cats, Fish & Chips who will be around, but they're very friendly so don't worry. I kindly ask that shoes are removed when you arrived (so wear funky socks ;) )
Because this is in my private home, I will provide you with full address details once you have booked. Nearest stations are Blackwall DLR or All Saints DLR though it is also possible to walk from Canary Wharf.
