I currently present a Tea Ceremony Demonstration and a Tea & Cheese pairing at the UK Tea Academy in London every couple of months. Check Academy Extras for dates and bookings.

I am available for tea events at your business or home by appointment. For small events up to 6 people I can host at my Hampshire home.

I have presented events for a range of occasions, from birthday tea parties to company away days, promotional events and festivals abroad. I have worked with names including potter Sylph Baier, Ipsos Mori, Beefeater Gin, London-Sophia week, Twinings, Club Soda & The Mindful Drinking Festival, Kaplan, International Students House, The Himalayan Homes Trust and of course, The UK Tea Academy.

Cha-no-yu

Cha-no-yu (Japanese Tea Ceremony) has always been my tea heart. I study and practice the Ueda Sōko tradition of Japanese Tea Ceremony, a warrior school of tea originating from Hiroshima. I am a member of Sōmu Shachū (Sōmu's Troupe), led by Adam Sōmu Wojciński, a direct disciple of the 16th generation Grand Master of our school, Ueda Sōkei.

I have a unique chashitsu (Japanese Tea Room) in my loft that can accommodate up to four guests. In 2022 I acheived my Karamono license, meaning I can accept students under the guidance of my teacher. 

 

I am available to host chakai and chaji by appoint. Chakai are 'informal' tea gaterings usually involving the serving of usucha (thin tea) and a sweet. Chaji are 'formal' tea gatherings involving serving of usucha (thin tea) and koicha (thick tea) as well as a kaiseki meal with sake.

I work by appointment so there are no scheduled dates, rather let me know some dates that would suit you. Bookings for a simple Chakai start from £45 per person. Bookings available at my chashitsu or location of your choice.
